Black Boy Joy: Part II
.Safety is the birthplace of joy. For black boys in predominantly white spaces, it is the security provided for them by exclusively black spaces that they are so easily welcomed into, cradled and cared for by a sense of brotherhood where joy may thrive, expressing itself through movement, music, culture and conversation. Where black male congregation is so often identified with violence or aggression to outsiders, beyond this veil of perception lies a softness in the harmony that is born out of black fraternity. Here exists an ease and intrinsic connectedness between black boys from all walks of life that is yet to be found as compatibly in other circle. We can see that to be a black boy is to discover the joy found in the uniqueness of black kinship. Written By @asisaKadiri
